I’ve just remembered that this wee blog turned one year old on 17th January.
I started it on my birthday last year.
It has sooooo helped me to keep my exercise and health on track this past year.

The last members of the Bold and the Beautiful finishing their swim at manly this morning. Loved my swim.
And this blog, though small and much more personal and private in a way than my other blog, is helping me make quite profound changes in my life.
Firstly, I decided to stop drinking alcohol for the whole of 2013. This is more about mental than physical health really, but the two are so closely intertwined.
Read this post about my dad for more about alcohol, genes and me.
The ocean swimming is also turning out to be a turning point.
Turning towards a more adventurous life again, towards exhileration and a bit of danger and fear.
Just like the way I lived before I had all these pesky children.
Bravely, adventurously and with a lot of time spent underwater.
Must also write about what this blog has taught me about blogging.
Next time!
Hope you’re loved your grub and your exercise today.
Have you???

Are the stingers a problem all year round Jess, or is it more crocs and sharks. Yikes to all!! I loved that big wave pool there is in the city, amazing spot.
Happy Birthday!! I hope there are many more blogbirthdays to come!
p.s. the photo of manly is divine.

Thank you and do let us know more about you, always lovely to get to know readers.
Thanks for asking about me! I’m from the other side of the world…Montreal, Canada! A HR professional by day, a running/fitness/impact blogging passionate by night! I’ve recently signed up for a charity race that will take me from montreal, Canada to New York City by running as part of a team- that’s 609 km if you are wondering.
I decided to write about my journey in my blog http://www.living4impact.com/blogging4impact
Feel free to take a look anytime!

Happy anniversary for the 17th of January! Good on you for deciding to get fit and healthy – physically and mentally! I am sorry to read about your dad. Alcoholism really destroys people, families, lives. My dad didn’t look after himself either and died of a massive heart attack at 61! It has certainly made me look at my life, my choices. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the year goes for you Seana! x Aroha #teamIBOT

Would have loved a swim in the sea but must stick with a walk by it as temperatures way too cold here in Bonnie Scotland. Happy Birthday blogger you’re doing so well, keep on writing. X
We’ve bought an elliptical trainer and today I did 30 minutes. It hurt. A lot. But afterwards I felt good. Real good.
Love & stuff

Thanks Nancy and I will certainly pop over for a look. That’s a big run! Nice day here in Sydney today and we’re off to some waterslides, myself, my dear au pair and 6 youngsters.
